I do! Lots of interesting information to be gained by reading old headstones. My cousin is a retired priest who takes it upon himself to clean them up.
Raise me up. From the archives-an Easter morning stroll through St. Ninian Cemetery in Antigonish, NovaScotia #sunrise #raisemeup #Easter #photographersofbluesky #cemeteries #novascotia
Peek-a-Boo. April snow in Nova Scotia? Not unusual! Caught these 3 digging under the snow for the new grass. #Aprilsnow #deer #SpringinNovaScotia #longlens #PentaxK1-11 #pentaxian #nature
Clouds and a Cape. I caught some lovely late day light last evening in Wolfville, Nova Scotia. Cape Blomidon lies along the southeast shore of the Bay of Fundy, the site of some of the highest tides in the world. #CapeBlomidon #NovaScotia #clouds #BayofFundy #photographersofbluesky
Reeds and Ripples. Something green for St Paddy’s Day! #green #ripples
🇨🇦 When surrounded by chaos, find your heart. From a misty web-filled morning in the backyard. #spiderwebs #misty #sunrise #canadian
Maple Tree and Blue Sky. Back after a little break from travelling. Double exposure ICM from my front yard. I love how the proportions worked out in this one. #ICM #doubleexposure #photographersofbluesky #icmphotography #trees #pentaxian #novascotiaphotographer
There should be a “WOW” button for this!
Down from Dumyat. I don’t often have people in my #landscape photos but an exception yesterday as we hiked to the top of #Dumyat outside #Stirling. My niece, husband and 3 month old grandnephew Rory made the cut! 3 flights to #NovaScotia tomorrow! #hikingScotland #sunnyday
Double Rainbow! Got lucky today when an otherwise dreary weather day in Stirling took a turn for the better! Just as we climbed the 250 steps to the top of the Wallace Monument the weather gods rewarded us with this scene. Five minutes later, back to rain. #Scotland #weather #rainbows #landscape
Wallis Monument. A long shot with my Iphone from our walk around Stirling yesterday. Pro camera shots need to wait until I am back in 🇨🇦. Nice to see the shrubs blossoming. #Stirling #WallisMonument #Scotland
The River Forth. Visiting Stirling, Scotland for the first time. My niece and her family live on the river near the center of this image. Today exploring on foot with my Iphone only. Tomorrow the big camera comes out! #Stirling #Scotland #ariverrunsthroughit #travelphotography #landscapes
Kite surfing near the Municipality of Maria, on the Bay of Chaleur, Quebec. Autumn is a lovely time to visit this scenic area on the Gaspe Peninsula. Beautiful #landscapes, #seascapes, #farmscapes around every turn. #visitCanada #quebec #kitesurfing
Vanishing. This breakwater “wall” built to protect the route over the dune to Big Island, NovaScotia has mostly been replaced by huge boulders after several harsh storms breached the wall causing irreparable damage. Remnants do remain but its purpose is no longer valid. #breakwater #vanishingpoint
Perce Rock. A #longexposure during #bluehour at this iconic site off the #Gaspe peninsula in the Province of Quebec, Canada. One of the #naturalwonders of the world, it contains an arch over the water through which boats can pass. #percerock #quebec #oceanscape #mondayblues
Miscou Island, on the northeastern coast of New Brunswick, contains a protected peat bog that boasts amazing colours and plant life. A boardwalk and interpretive signs allows visitors to traverse and learn about this unique area. #peatbog #redandblue #miscouisland #newbrunswick #nature
Saw these magnificent cacti for the first time in 2023 while visiting beautiful Arizona. Finding out that it takes 50 years to grow their first “arm” was incredible. Love the photo.
