The good execs recognize that a writers' time is just as valuable as their own and actively go out of their to avoid letting those last minute scheduling conflicts derail what could be the beginning of a potentially beautiful creative partnership.

Yet, this same rule doesn't seem to apply to execs who wait until a couple of hours before your first meeting to kick that can down to a later date.

They say you only get one chance to make a good first impression. It's an aphorism we writers have to live and die by when it comes to our careers.

Just had an exec at a big production company cancel a general meeting we've had on the books since July for the 4th time. Once again, something came up last minute, forcing them to reschedule... which isn't uncommon. Especially at a company like this. (1/5)

Today is the Citicard presale. Which was a complete pain in the ass.

Ultimately managed to get good seats for the Saturday show but not without a serious hassle from my credit card company who insisted that we pay for the tix using Citicard only to then flag the purchase as possible fraud.
