The scientific method is our most reliable tool for understanding nature, explaining the world, and uncovering truths about the universe. For humanists, it not only offers answers – it also sparks profound questions and wonder. Find out in our #Thatshumanism videos narrated by Stephen Fry.

'Death is a natural part of life. It makes sense for us to try not to be afraid of this, but instead to come to terms with it. Then we can focus on finding meaning and purpose in the here and now, making the most of the one life we know we have.' Stephen Fry in that #thatshumanism.

The article mentions that Rayner "purchased a second home for over £700,000," but calling her a three-home owner is misleading since Admiralty House is a ministerial residence. She fulfilled her tax obligations, and the claims of hypocrisy seem more about appearances than legal wrongdoing.
This is getting stupid. Angela Rayner does not own three homes.

One of them is a ministerial apartment which comes with her job, Deputy Prime Minister. It’s a government property, not her own.

She has purchased a second home as she is a successful women. Nothing wrong with that.

Humanists see the universe as a natural phenomenon with no supernatural side, and look to science to answer questions about the natural world. Humanists believe this life is the only life we have, so they focus on living well in the here and now, guided by empathy and our shared humanity ❤️

This research reinforces what we’ve long known to be true: that children can grow up to be kind, ethical, and fulfilled without religion playing any part in their lives. Wonderful to read about children's natural curiosity for science, capacity for compassion, and awe in the natural world.
Contrary to some media narratives which spuriously equate religious decline with social decline or unhappiness, the authors discovered that the children’s non-religious worldviews were rich with joy, wonder, and the expression of strong moral values. 🧵
