i have been bullied, harassed and cajoled into making a starter pack for cyclists who like to adventure. there’s still plenty of space so shout if you want included

the legs are good it seems
just drink milk! nature’s energy drink! (i am aware that only irish people will happily gulp down two litres a day)
a film you've seen more than seven times with a gif
they’re very useful on shared paths i’m told
he’s busy bathing, massaging and whispering nice things to salah’s left foot at the minute
this was like a 2,000m day that i was not at all ready for, with a bike computer that told me my speed and nothing else. finished it but i was in a heap at the end. ever since then, i’ve been smarter but i’m also like, “yeah, that might hurt a bit but my legs will keep turning”
i still remember the day when hills stopped scaring me. it was not nice as it happened but it was an amazing day
feeling it now, i am not built for 15k climbs
that 90k pr must be a new thing because i have definitely done that faster many times
well that went as expected — very slow on the hills, fast everywhere else. 4 hours 48
bulmers and magners have weird licenses for branding… bulmers is out of herefordshire for you and you can get magners. but there’s also an irish bulmers and no magners there, because bulmers is magners. if that makes sense
ah yeah, the last word in rogue one is: hope
looks like we could’ve done with him in the team
here’s hoping we don’t have to embarrass kelleher too much
¡happy independence of cuenca day!
minor notes:

and stood against him (‘gainst who!?)
proud edward's army (bastard!)
knew a guy from coventry who claimed his dad was in an early incarnation of the specials. never was sure whether to believe him
this year’s been a horrible job with no time to do anything (and lots of other awful bits) then a few months with big plans but little bits of bad luck, mixed with bouts of laziness 😄
i keep having things like that happen to me before a race… czech republic, 150km, 2,500m of climbing, got hit by a car a week before and the bike had to go in the shop. had a very dodgy monday night curry this week
i’m not in bad shape but i’ve really struggled to be consistent this year… missing my cycles-across-countries legs a lot. but hey, i’m doing very well for 40
i love how the whole thing is about hope. everyone’s going to die, your life is torn shreds, and hope for a better world is all you’ve got to keep going
one of my goals every year is to get back into this one, haven’t managed it this year
