Given that the BBC endlessly gives platforms to lobbyists from the dark money junktanks without revealing their interests, shouldn't we be seeing such apologies every day?

Better still, how about not doing it? If they want to appear, we should know on whose behalf they are speaking.

www.bbc.co.uk/news/article... Some positive news for a change. Especially as it doesn’t look like we’re going to get grants for heat pumps with England & Wales losing theirs.
NI electricity grid charge changes set to make going green easier
Consumers and businesses will pay for the kit needed to connect their own property and any grid reinforcement will become a social charge.

If it hadn’t been for the Stone Roses I’d still be listening to effin’ U2. They blew everything out of the water by comparison, I listened to that album religiously. Never realised much later how pivotal Mani was to their sound. Hope his two wee boys will be alright.

Can’t believe Mani’s dead, what an amazing bass player he was in two of my favourite bands of all time, the Stones Roses & Primal Scream. Thank you for the unforgettable music Mani! ❤️❤️❤️ Peace & love to all your mates & family!

Belfast needs an overdose prevention centre.

Lives are needlessly being lost. We need leadership from Stormont, especially the Health & Justice Ministers.

Are they worried by how some voters will feel about the prospect of an overdose prevention centre, 20 months out from an election?

As families face rising bills, and extreme weather causes devastation around the world, oil and gas companies shouldn’t get a tax break. Tell Chancellor Rachel Reeves to not turn her back on climate and communities. Add your name

Those people at the Telegraph, BoJo, Reform et al, don’t forget that the BBC is this country’s finest purveyor of British culture globally. In destroying it, you will destroy the last vestiges of the UK’s soft power. What fills the gap will be anything but liberal and may well be very anti British.

What you’re witnessing is a populist assault on the BBC.

This is not an institutional scandal in any meaningful sense of the word. It is an attack on public service broadcasting.

Trump & co are gloating now. They have just decapitated the head of the national broadcaster. What next? Getting really sick of American fascists trying to take over this country.
I had my disagreements with the BBC under Tim Davie but he was a decent man doing a difficult job.

To see Trump's White House claiming credit for his downfall and attacking the BBC should worry us all.

I’m sickened that the BBC DG & Head of News have felt compelled to resign after Trump’s mouthpiece branded the BBC a propaganda machine! This is a clear example of foreign interference in our democracy. They should not have resigned & treated these foreign accusations with the contempt they deserve.
