Hello all. I’m a retired news photographer. I just want what I do next to be so awesome that people will forget what it was I used to do.

I’m loving the spider legs on our new fern. Gifted to us from a friend of Dellis. It’s also known as a Rabbit Foot Fern, but we’re leaning into the creepier side of it.
One day ceiling fan install not including patching and painting the drywall around the wall switch.
Don’t let her fool you. She is not friendly.
It was an awesome art weekend for my lovely wife and her critique group. We may do it again for friends and family, but need to recover first. This was a lot of work.
So much yard work this week, but it will make my wife happy to show it off for her artist friends.
Busy day, but I felt like I needed to get out of my comfort zone and support the “No Kings” protests. Felt really strange being a participant after so many years being an observer. Still, it’s like I said, I needed to get out of my comfort zone.
I tend to slack off during the Winter and spend a lot of Spring getting the yard back in shape. Oops. I meant “we” on all of that.
Yay! The lovely Mrs. Frank made the Daily Breeze as part of a gallery exhibit in Redondo Beach that opened June 6th and continues the following two weekends.

If you know Hermosa Beach, then you know.
South Gallery is awesome!
Attended a screening of “Murderbot” with a Q&A afterwards featuring Alexander Skarsgard and also some other guys.
I guess I should mention the homeless guy who sort of wandered around us. He didn’t try anything, but it was kind of weird.
Happy Monday. Outside is good. We’re finally getting some sun in the morning and I can stop bundling up for the morning ride.
Hey, little cactus flower! Where did you come from?
It’s so cool when the yard surprises us.
Up early to get a slow bike ride in before the beach fills up.
This is what being the only person of color in the room looks like. No, wait. The video guy is also black. Carl Hiaasen with Dennis Lehane by LiveTalks LA. Don’t worry. I’ll be okay. This is not the first time.
I was early. Waiting to hear from a couple of authors I enjoy reading.
Matinee showing of “Sinners” in 70mm IMAX. Yeah, I have work to do, but there’s always tomorrow.

I’m blogging again. Only now we call it Substack. Check out my latest post and subscribe if you want to have it delivered to your email (I really want to have more than seven subscribers).
Hey, Big Easy!
Long time, no see. How've you been?

I don’t know how often these guys play this corner on Frenchman Street, but we saw them last year in June. It’s awesome every time.
Back from spending a few days in New Orleans. Had a great time, but it’s pretty difficult to not have a good time in the Big Easy.
It’s an LA thang.
Anybody else get rained on at the LA Times Festival of Books?

Still working out the nuances of posting using Substack. I’m up to seven followers (pretty sure one of them is me). My biggest issue is the differences between the desktop and tablet versions of the platform. #festivalofbooks #rain #befrank #writing
