In retrospect Jungkook thought it wasn’t quite fair. It wasn’t like he’d done something abominably stupid. Peter Parker breaking into restricted areas of Oscorp had been far more deserving of the consequences than his innocent investigation into a tiny glow at the side of the Han river. Whether he should have put his hand so close to the glow, well, that was a different story.

Or: Jungkook investigates a weird glow, gets really sick and runs straight to his Hoseok hyung. Hoseok is a competent adult and drags Seokjin into things as soon as possible where the three attempt to process the fact that BTS’s maknae now has superpowers. And Jin and Hobi unenthusiastically agree not to tell anyone else, which works about as well as you would expect.

In hindsight, when Jimin heard noises coming from the bathroom, he really should have been more careful.

“You’ll get yourself hurt someday,” Seokjin bemoaned once. “You never listen.”

Seokjin is right on the latter count, at least, because when Jimin does hear the sounds (a muffled grunt, a clunk, the tiniest of pained sighs) he forgets everything they’ve tried to teach him. He goes right up to the bathroom door and pushes it open with no hint of caution at all. It takes a moment for his eyes to adjust to the dimness, but there Jimin stands, framed in the doorway, and stares silently at the man slumped in his bathtub.
