This is the Ingersoll Ordinary in Danvers, MA. My great uncle Nathaniel Ingersoll owned the tavern & ran it with his wife, Hannah. During the Salem Witch Trials, many of the accused were held here until the magistrates were ready to question them.

This is the threshold between the Charter Street Cemetery and the Witch Trials Memorial in Salem, Massachusetts. Across each entrance to the memorial are the words spoken by the accused during their questioning 333 years ago.

Yes and no. Depends on what we are talking about. Supernatural witches, not a thing. However, currently in Salem, MA, there are 30+ covens, mostly practicing the modern religion of Wicca. Find out more about cunning folk and the Puritan's concept of witches in my blog post. You might be surprised.
