Pop culture lover and collector of all the things.
I’m not a full on die-cast collector, but when they are cheap or are something my brothers and I had as kids, I could be mistaken for one.

Dear Taco Bell employee. I know you don’t get paid a ton, but could you take a bit more effort to not include the shitty parts of the tomato in my chalupa. Easy way to remember is that you don’t like smoking stems and I don’t like eating them.
Appreciate it.

I was looking through a rad booth at the flea yesterday and saw a Chuck E. Cheese shirt but it was a kid’s size and not the era of Chuck I collect. The booth owner said he had a hat and dug around looking, while I expected something from the same time. Nope! Turned out to be my favorite purchase!

Flea market was pretty good to me today.

Finally got these cleaned up. At the auction a few weekends ago, one of the lots I purchased was a tub full of plasticware. These were the pieces that got me to bid on them; the MOTU cups in particular.

I thought I was well versed in my “choose your own adventure” knowledge, but then I came across these oddballs. Anyone familiar with this line of CYA books?

Swung by the flea on the way to my meeting yesterday. At the first booth I looked at I found this awesome Mickey Mouse kubrick toy.

Grabbed this last week because I’m a fan of @oeming.bsky.social and really enjoyed his Mice Templar series back in the day. This one did not disappoint. Anthropomorphic monks fighting ghosts and other spirits? What’s not to love. If you like great comics, this series is worth checking out.

My entry into this week’s #vintagetoytuesday is a line of toys from Worlds of Wonder that I always wanted as a kid but never got: Lazer Tag! For not having them when I was younger, I have accumulated a pretty decent sized collection now as an adult.

Went to the auction yesterday and bought a number of lots. Here are some of the highlights

Emptied my pockets and found this in the change I got back today. I don’t remember this being legal tender, but to be fair, who can keep up with all the changes nowadays.

One of my favorite finds from the flea last Sunday was this awesome vintage poster. As relevant now as it was then.

Wife and I watched this Friday night. It may not be the worst movie I’ve ever started watching, but it’s in the running for worst I’ve ever watched to the end.

Did I really need more build-a-bears in my inventory? No. But could I pass up on adding these cool dudes for $15 bucks? Also no.

I tell you what; it took a fair bit of willpower to leave this at the flea market yesterday.

Took entirety too long last night preparing for this. I’m awake now, barely. Time to get up and make my way to Portland. If you happen to swing by the show, say hi. I’ll be the dealer in the Toys R Us shirt.
Getting ready to bring some funnybooks to the masses on Saturday. If you are in the Portland area, swing by and say hi.

My comic books have outgrown my storage space so I am trying to thin down. It’s a daunting task because I am a completionist. But I’m trying. In the process I’ve found a run of the series Crimson that I never read. Rectifying that now before I decide to keep or sell. Anyone read this? Thoughts?
