It'll be like that on and off now until Bonfires. Probably. From around November onwards, it does around where I live. Mostly small back garden fireworks except for the weekends.

Well, it is the season after all! I mean, it's quite incredible how the 5th November can last 30 days either side of it, but here we are. Saw a list of local events on FB yesterday and it was pretty laughable with the amount of fireworks events going on.

Visited Bluebell Railway in Sussex on Sunday. Yes, I did ride the train. Used it as an opportunity to test the SMC Pentax-M 50mm f1.7 lens. On the Sony A7R III, it performed better than I expected! Very sharp when stopped down.

Today is going to be fun. Out of 8 employees on the workshop floor, today there’s only 2 of use. Me and one other (management to, but they don’t count). All the others are either off sick or booked the day off 😅

Film: Pentax SPII. Just love the feel and mechanics of it. Just so nice to shoot.

Digital: Panasonic GF1 (amazing really seeing as I have a Sony A7R III). I just love it's dinky little size with the 20mm f1.7 lens.

I did see a lot of people carrying backpacks around both times I've been there. My assumption is, people carry raincoats and umbrellas with them at all times, just in case 😆
