There are a handful of topics that cause most people’s brains and ears to shut down. The mention of anything related to LGBTQ+, law enforcement, or illicit drugs in any context will have people on both sides of the issue thinking and speaking incoherently, completely immovable and immune to nuance.

The only thing I’d like to argue is that the second slide is wrong. Statistics do lie, in this case in the under reporting of rape and sexual assault at the hands of white husbands, fathers, uncles, etc. Contrary to sensational reporting, the vast majority happens within the home, by loved ones.

There is truth in this, which is why there is already infighting among the MAGA movement. They are angry, frustrated contrarians by nature and they only realize how little in common they have with one another when their common enemies go quiet. So they go looking for the enemy and next fight.
