Libraries are sites of refuge, where curiosity is nurtured, where people find shelter, education, entertainment, job assistance, skill-building programs, and access to resources that would otherwise be out of reach.
In the Fight Against Fascism, Libraries Should Be Defended — Not Defunded
Libraries represent the kind of infrastructure progressive leaders must fortify at all costs, especially in this moment.

I just saw an ad that they're making a movie out of the book Hamnet. I hated that book so bad. I rage speed read it out of spite.

Had to buy a new winter coat today. My partner kept trying to get me to look at North Face ones and I kept saying "because I go on so many adventures?" And she didn't get the reference at all. So sad. Anyway, I got a Carhartt.

Lately every time I talk to someone who is sick they're immediately like "but it's not COVID." What weird anti-science nonsense is this? You cannot possibly know if it's COVID unless you've had a non-rapid response test. It is in fact very likely COVID.

I wish The Conjuring movies showed what disgusting grifters the Warrens actually were. That's the real horror.

I see so many people online proclaiming that the current severe and unusual health issues seen in young people must be the result of *insert thing it isn't* just to do anything to not admit COVID has and continues to ravage our bodies.

The worst online holiday tradition might be Whamageddon. What do you mean you avoid the best Christmas song ever for as long as you can? In the name of our beloved angel baby, George Michael, it is an absolute abomination. Do yourself a favor and go listen to Last Christmas right now.

This is a substantially niche flex, but I've spent the last year or so trying to get my feet to return to their natural form by predominantly wearing natural foot shaped shoes. My foot has gone from medium to wide, my toes barely touch, and my length is down half a size. It's working!

Every time y'all show your cats I get closer and closer to never entering anyone's house ever again. And the comments? Y'alllllll...please stop letting animals around food and food surfaces.

The popification of country music and hiphop have absolutely contributed to the rising hyper capital, fascist hellscape we currently find ourselves in. An absolute disgrace to their origins.

Yay! The Belgian Sheepdog won best in show. I was rooting for her!

The second best part (after the dogs) of the National Dog Show is the outfits the handler and judges wear.

I just spent an hour or so unsubscribing from almost all my email subscriptions in my personal email, my junk email, and both of my work emails. I highly recommend you do it too. Black Friday is the best way to make sure you get them all.

I went to Universal Studios earlier this month and it's super easy to opt out of biometric scanning. You just have to show your id. ALWAYS opt out of cameras and biometrics.

Did anyone get oranges and nuts in your stocking as a kid? It's a hold over from many years ago, especially the Great Depression, but I just remembered it. I think we need to bring that back. It was really fun to see your stocking all stretched out with an orange at the bottom lol

Went to buy some wax lined fabric from a local small business for my homemade breads but something told me to go check her Instagram...yep. Trad wife nonsense. Same with Redland Cotton. Don't buy their sheets. They're Christian Nationalists.

I know I'm a curmudgeon, but I really hate how the play and definitely movies of Wicked bubblegum-milquetoast the books. It feels very connected to our current hyper material, fascist, white supremacist, Christian Nationalist time.

The US is an extremely young country and yet we've had several depressions and major recessions. It's almost like our economic system is not good actually.

Charlotte, North Carolina ran ICE out of its streets in under two weeks. Y'all have got to stop dismissing the South. We've always been organized. We know how to protect our own.
Every story on Page One in Charlotte is about ICE/immigration:

I'm not seeing enough online about how Charlotte, North Carolina is absolutely wrecking ICE invaders. Y'all consistently shit on the South, but we're fighters from way back and the rest of the country could learn a lot from us.

I don't love that Mamdani, who is not yet mayor, met with Trump. Also, Trump liking him isn't shocking. Mamdani is a charismatic, media savvy New Yorker like Trump. Trump is hollow other than his own ego. He was having a great time. I'm begging y'all to get some critical thinking skills.
