"Sweet William Bouquet"
A cluster of Sweet Williams (Dianthus barbatus), with the foreground flowers being slightly off-center to the right and the next set to the left. Crimson red composes most of each petal, with a fuschia-tinted band separating the red from the white center of the flowers and frilly bright white decorating the edges. Lime green bracts are seen underneath and between the flowers as well as some unopened buds. The background has a dreamy quality made of shades of pale greens, gray whites, light pink, and some slightly darker yellows.

My friend Nancy gifted me this fall-blooming camellia in 2022. The pixie redhead human passed away a year ago today, but her namesake lives on, bringing color & joy fall-spring, while the rest of the our #garden hibernates.

Thank you. I couldn't believe my good fortune when that frog jumped out while I was photographing flowers nearby, & then stayed for quite a prolonged photo shoot of different "poses". Quite photogenic!
