If we could do that, & come up with a few examples to use to pitch with, that may be a way to do it. But that’s just me thinking aloud how I’d probably try to get something like this going ^_^

I certainly agree. However it would be good to have some kind of agreed-to standard for it beforehand. Otherwise it could get pretty subjective & messy which would defeat the purpose of it. And preferably something short, like maybe 10 or less, to make it manageable.

Dusty blinked asymmetrically as he tried tried to make sense of his current state. It looked like his room. Felt like his bed, but there was an addition he wasn’t expecting. Namely his roommate, Allie draped across his chest, snoring lightly. It was nice, until her eyes fluttered open.

Oh that you’ll not hear any argument from me about at all. Could even easily be added to the product page even w/o incurring any printing or editing expenses. That way no friction regarding having it added & it allows anyone to make an informed choice. Heck maybe ask Sarna to add it too…

I don’t think they were all THAT bad to be avoided entirely. >_> But goodness there were some huge stinkers in there. Ideal War & Far Country are two that really just, yeah, they really didn’t work IMHO.

I was gonna say EXACTLY that to Kaiju but ya beat me to it! I honestly dunno if it was by accident or design but that is literally both the best comparison & compliment. Out of any of the Battletech books it’s hands down the one I recommend even over my favorite old ones like the Grey Death

From that angle I felt the Warrior series was a bit better in that respect. But admittedly that was literally some of my first books I read way back when. And when I read Ghost War, well, what was going on w/ BT may’ve colored my reading plus comparing it to the Warrior series.

Did people really memorize phone numbers before cell phones, or is that just a movie thing?

I was watching some old shows from the 90s and noticed people would just dial numbers from memory - like they'd call their friends or family without looking anything up.
Made me wonder if that was actually normal back then? Did people genuinely have all their important numbers memorized, or did most folks keep a little address book or written list nearby?
