I'm not much of a podcast person, but I absolutely love this one. Great people playing great characters. Thoughtful, silly, occasionally EXTREMELY stressful (positive).

Can't believe it's only been a year! Happy birthday, gang!

It’s been one whole year since we released the first recording of Twilight’s Edge! With over 5,500 listens of the show & a handful of awesome award nominations, we couldn’t be more proud of how the show has grown.

Send a big congrats to our lovely cast & help us celebrate our 1st birthday! (1/7 ⬇️)

Browneshill Dolmen • Carlow

Ireland has around 170 recorded portal tombs, also known as dolmens. They were constructed during the Neolithic period, from around 3800 BC onwards.

The capstone at Browneshill is enormous! It is estimated to weigh well in excess of 100 tonnes.

The large portal tomb at Browneshill, Carlow, Ireland. It consists of a giant capstone supported by upright stones. The capstone leans at a dramatic angle, but still stands after 5,000 years.

Today, The Word for World: The Maps of Ursula K. Le Guin opens at AA Gallery in London! Curated by Sarah Shin and Harriet Jennings, the exhibition presents a selection of Ursula's maps, including some that have never been exhibited before.
A photo of the entrance to The Word for World exhibition, with two banners hanging vertically down outside the doorway to a brick building with white-paned windows. A row of bicycles are parked in front. The banners are purple and white and say the name of the exhibition and Ursula K. Le Guin's name. A cord-wrapped rock rests on a vivid blue background next to a map of and program for The Word for World exhibition. A stack of copies of The Word for World book, which shows the title in vivid blue against a black cloth cover.

Bohonagh Stone Circle • West Cork

This lovely little stone circle is another example of the rich Bronze Age archaeological heritage of West Cork.

When excavated in the late 1950s, archaeologists discovered a shallow pit containing a few fragments of cremated bone in the middle of the circle.

During my childhood summers, I lived in rural East Galway, out in the west of Ireland, with my beloved grandparents.

While much of what and who I remember is gone now, it still tugs on my heart, so I write about it.
