Same. The Catholic Worker Movement is also compelling. 12 yrs Catholic schooling & most impactful class was Peace & Justice. I tell my MAGA parents that's how I got radicalized. Liberation theology & all that. Still can't tolerate a typical Mass tho.

We were in Kanab a few days ago and there was one parked in the hotel lot. Mild-mannered looking hiking couple, prolly in their 60s. They had a 'Send E to Mars' sticker on the back & I wanted to ask if they put it there or what. I will never understand the compulsion.

Heard a fun story about Baraboo WI this summer. Friend was there during the intl clown conference some years ago. Went to a restaurant filled with clowns in full costume. Apparently they needed to stay in character for the duration. Personally, I would have bailed post haste.

Yeah i saw that, but i also know that replies and notifications are somewhat challenged. I want to extend the benefit of the doubt esp since I've met her in person. No one is perfect & we shouldn't expect them to be. On the whole she's doing heroic work which outweighs any misstep in my book.

Sure would be nice to extend each other grace. Really disgusted by the hounding of Jenn Budd & the expectation that we have to be perfect. Don't know how ppl make amends but I've met Jenn & am concerned. Shame on those who couldn't give her a fucking break.

YouGov surveys are annoying yet I still click on the email. If it's not about the shit show of the current admin, but about something like sports/consumer choices, I nope out. Glad the one I did today was ... meaningful.

I hit a cat on a country road in Wisconsin about 20 years ago and I still feel awful about it. I moved it off the road & sat with it while it passed. This is one reason why I always have sturdy leather gloves in the car. Sorry you had that happen; hopefully they felt your goodness through the pain.

It's sorely needed. The prospect of not being able to use solar during an outage if you feed back into the grid is a deal-killer for many.
