Progress is going well, I still have one surgery that doesnt have a set date yet. Got a huge ipad upgrade/replacement from an uncle that im still kinda in disbelief about. Still cant quite get to my desk because past me decided to prioritize use of space over walkability

A drawing of neopet versions of WV, Nepeta, and Dave set on the dock of Ye Olde Fishing Vortex. Nepeta is a speckled wocky with a more olive-green coat and the white speckles were changed to lighter versions of the colors of candycorn horns. She proudly holds a Glistening Mechafish with 10000 painted on it. WV is an obsidian darigan gnorbu, with spikes poking through the wrappings here and there he is simply fishing off the side of the dock. Dave, a fire kougra, gives Nepeta a thumbs up from where he fishes, sitting the other side of the dock.

Next to this is an uncolored sketch of Sunrise being annoyed as Russell walks into a hanging light for the 3rd time that day. The next colored sketch has Sunrise about to ask how Russell's blog is doing but Russell's cartoonishly sad look has Sunrise cut himself off to say "nevermind." Next is an uncolored sketch of a conversation where Sunrise asks how Russell afforded the apartment before he moved in, to which Russell replies with "uh sponsorships mostly." Sunrise then goes "that explains all those earbuds" and Russell goes "yup." Russell is taller, skinnier, and lighter skinned than Sunrise is. He wears tinted goggles that give him the appearance of having antlers, wears primarily t-shirts and shorts, and his primary ink color is a rusty red-brown. Sunrise has little swirls in his hair, mask, and ear tips. He primarily wears his favorite color block sweater and pants and his ink color is gold.

prior to this her only ref was from before I figured out how i wanted to stylize salmonids, now i can show this one off and not recoil lol

A refsheet for a Splatoon salmonid oc "The Darling Renegade of Unknown Waters" aka Ren. As a former steelhead commander she maintains the typical height and build (and excessive drooling) of that boss type, however her hair is grown out and is purple, and she has a nose ring. Her scales are a a dark cool grey with lighter countershading. She has a scar on her right eye and a number of teeth that stick out even when her mouth is closed. She has a large dark green scrap of cloth wrapped around her neck and draped over her back like a scarf-cape and dull green "pants" with broken suspenders. The bullet points read - Lives in self imposed exile between the mountains and the bay in the outer Splatlands desert. - Former steelhead commander, froze up and fled during a crucial moment, now is burdened with guilt - Often salvages scrap metals in the desert to use for shelter and tools. -Acts cold and standoffish but has a kind and soft heart.

what a way to relearn your drawing muscle memory by endlessly drawing a 4 armed character. woo.

Sketch page of a Pokemon oc, a former human fused with a Garvantula. There is one main colored fullbody image showing that with exception for the eyes she's been turned the colors of garvantula: yellow fluff, light purple fuzz, and blue skin. In this she is still wearing her lab coat and plain outfit underneath, all torn from the transformation. There is a hole in the shirt surrounded by dried blood where she was stabbed. There is a sketch of her laying down with the lab coat as a blanket, revealing the team plasma emblem on the back, with an offscreen voice saying "you dont have to keep that you can wear other clothes." Below that a sketch of her looking unamused showing off a "I was permanently turned into a hybrid due to betrayal in the lab and all I got was this t-shirt" shirt. Next are two sketches of her looking upset and thinking "there is no way the project can continue without me" and "why did I even apply to that sketchy job..." Next is a series starting with her running and saying "I'm thankful that you saved me but if I dont go out I'll lose it" Followed by her looking troubled by the voice asking "are you really trying to go out before finding a cure?" then she gets annoyed when she has the realization that since she is no longer allowed in any labs, no one is trying to fix her. Finally a little doodle of her lying on a pillow annoyed and worn out.

A collection of sketches and notes for a Splatoon OC, a fuzziified inkling named Russell Leveret, 24. He has medium-fair skin and ruddy brown tentacles with deeper red stripes and tips, before being fuzzy both colors were more red and the stripes were spots. He has two tentacles cut at an angle that frame his face and the rest are like a solid mass behind him, slightly longer than shoulder length. He wears sunglasses with the ear rests styled like antlers, lending to a jackalope theme, that hide the typical fuzzy swirly eye style, which were at one point grey. He usually wears loose fitting clothes with cheesy graphics (in this case a UFO abducting a cow-colored sea slug, tan shorts, and black slider sandals) and tends to get warm easily. His ears droop in almost a lop-eared manner, while they were more straight out before he was fuzzy. There are notes explaining that the likes space, aliens, and cryptids. He went to the desert to check out a rumor and came back different. He has a nervous disposition that makes him bad at sports, so his roommate ends up making most of the money. There is a doodled diagram showing that Russell has explained what happened to him to his roommate, but the roommate has secrets of his own he absolutely refuses to tell anyone.
