Sydney really turned on the weather today, allowing Gil Hanse’s fantastic alterations at the Royal Sydney Golf Club to be portrayed in their best light. Was last here in 2016, my jaw aches. #golf #sydney #golfcoursearchitecture #gilhanse

I Finally Got Fitted for New Irons—Here’s How It All Went Down
Golf club fittings aren’t just for pros. Here’s how an hour at Power Golf opened my eyes to the difference the right clubs can make. After more than a decade with my trusty Nike Vapor Pro irons, I knew the game had changed. I've always loved my old irons but modern irons promise more forgiveness, better distance, and tighter dispersion—and those promises were starting to eat away at me. So, I finally booked a fitting session at Power Golf in Sydney to see what all the fuss was about. Booking and First Impressions…

Can a Golfer Return a 130mph Tennis Serve? Ian Poulter Finds Out
Ian Poulter steps off the golf course and onto the tennis court in a playful challenge with the Murray brothers. Ian Poulter has taken his nickname “The Postman” to YouTube, and in his latest delivery, he’s swapping fairways for the baseline. In a new video titled “Can a Golfer Return a 130 MPH Tennis Serve?”, Poulter teams up with none other than Andy and Jamie Murray to see if his reflexes can handle the heat from a professional tennis serve. The setup is simple: the Murray brothers take turns cranking up the speed, while Poulter—armed with a tennis racquet and a bit of bravado—tries to return the favour.

More Light, More Golf? A Case for Daylight Saving in Queensland
Daylight Saving Time might be off the political agenda in Queensland, but for the golf industry, it could be a hole-in-one. Mike Orloff has penned a compelling opinion piece over at Golf Industry Central that shines a light on a long-standing debate: should Queensland adopt Daylight Saving Time (DST)? And more specifically, would it be good for golf? From a golf perspective, the answer seems like a no-brainer. Orloff argues that the extra daylight could be a game-changer for participation and revenue, especially for clubs in South East Queensland. Drawing on international examples and personal experience, he makes a strong case that more sunlight equals more swings—and more dollars.
