This had the unintended consequence of v1.12 ending up as Hopeful Holiday, as Storm Surge being a "Halloween" update came around the time of Hopeful Havoc being a thing.

I mean some ideas just happen because I feel like it LOL.
Hopeful Havoc (v1.10) was never supposed to exist either. Storm Surge was supposed to come right after Rainbow Rift, but it got pushed back to v1.11 because I thought the idea of a Hope update after her addition to the character device would be really funny.
Remember that at some point in time, v1.9 (Rainbow Rift) as supposed to be the final major update before either a huge map "reset" or a new island entirely. That was the original idea behind the rocket in Rainbow Island v1.9.
The thing is that I have an update name planned for an update after v1.13, and my current plan is to make that v1.14 due to me really wanting the theme to be the final update on the current map before that transitional update. If the fans demand it, the story changes and the map stays.
What I want to know is if people would rather me divert the story so the current map either stays longer or stays permanently or to continue my current plans to go to a new map in 2026.

I have an update name and map change plans for v1.13, but v1.14 and beyond depends on player feedback.

I currently have plans to use v1.14 as the "final" update before transitioning to v1.15. v1.15 will a transitional update to bridge the gap between the current map and v2.0.
My hint for Rainbow Island v1.13 is that it has to deal with a point of interest that hasn't been seen since June 2024, but remnants of it are still there on the current map (v1.11.10).

My second hint is that those remnants aren't there on the upcoming v1.12 map.
Here is the thumbnail for Rainbow Island v1.12: Hopeful Holiday!

Yes, the comically unfitting character choice was intentional, but at least the emote this time makes sense lol.
Just like last time, here is the same map without the snow effects.
Here is the Rainbow Island v1.12 (Hopeful Holiday) map!

Enjoy Shiver Inn while it lasts, as it will sadly melt in v1.13 (January 1, 2026)...
Rainbow Island v1.12 has been submitted for review.

Yes, I know it was a REALLY fast development cycle lol.

It's scheduled for November 1st at 12 AM EDT.
Obligatory Rainbow Island v1.12 teaser.
I'm proud to announce that Hopeful Havoc v2 will be approximately 20 seconds longer than the original due to an extension to both this part of the song that you can hear here as well as the intro.
The update has been submitted for review and it was approved!

It will go live on October 15th at 9 AM EDT, as I've already stated on here several times.

This will be the last update until Rainbow Island v1.12 (Hopeful Holiday).
I HOPE I'm able to get Rainbow Island v1.11.10 finished and scheduled for October 15th today.

It's a small update, so it shouldn't take long if UEFN wants to cooperate with me today.

Random Rainbow Island fact:
The special text I used for Rainbow Rift (v1.9) was created on August 27, 2024, which was 278 days before the release of Rainbow Rift on June 1, 2025.

I mean compare that clanker slop to the non-clanker masterpiece I did for my own Fortnite experience (shameless plug, I know).

I use replay mode for the screenshots for my thumbnails. There was a period of time where UEFN replays were broken, so I had to use the UEFN viewport instead.
This isn't the final version of Hopeful Havoc v2 LOL.

In my opinion, v2 is significantly better than the original Hopeful Havoc featured in v1.10. It definitely doesn't fit Rainbow Island v1.13's theme, but it wasn't ever meant to LOL.
I've touched up the song recently. I'm pretty sure that this will actually be the final version, but I don't plan on fully implementing and releasing the full thing until Rainbow Island v1.13 (January 2026).

The original Hopeful Havoc song will be in v1.11 and a winter holiday song will be in v1.12
The Storm is officially surging!

Rainbow Island v1.11: Storm Surge is OUT NOW! The Island Code in Fortnite, as it always has been since May 13, 2023, is 7884-8624-4447.
All dates and times are subject to change, of course. Some updates may be added or removed as I see fit. Part of me actually wants to put v1.12 on November 15 to balance the lengths of Storm Surge and Hopeful Holiday, but November 1 is funnier because unfreezing meme lol.
Current plan for Rainbow Island updates (all updates will happen at 9 AM EDT/EST unless stated otherwise)
v1.11: October 1, 2025
v1.11.10: October 15, 2025
v1.12: November 1, 2025 12 AM EDT
v1.12.10: November 15, 2025
v1.12.20: December 4, 2025
v1.13: January 1, 2025 12 AM EST
Here's a preview of that Hopeful Halloween song I was talking about that I put in Rainbow Island v1.11.

The version of the update with the song was approved yesterday and the update is still set to come out on October 1st at 9 AM EDT.
Rainbow Island v1.12's title will be Hopeful Holiday!

The update has less to do with Hope and more to do with me wanting to keep the trend of alliterations for update names... and also because that's what the song will be named as well...
Update: A modified version of Hopeful Havoc v2 will be used for Storm Surge called Hopeful Halloween.

v1.12's song will also be a modified version of Hopeful Havoc, so stay tuned for that.

v1.11 is still set to release on October 1st at 9 AM EDT.
