i think the thirteenth shard is a powerful voidsent in the vein of pazuzu/louhi etc but they cannot remember themselves pre-flood of darkness. form tbd. aufreane can summon them with support from her adventuring party in the 2.x patches but doesn’t fully recognize that they’re a shard until she goes

any argument about not bringing characters into the msq because it’s Side Content and no one can be forced to do Side Content to understand that character was immediately negated by SE requiring you to do hours of some of the most divisive characters’ storyline for a relic quest

emet selch tells her about the Past and how it Was and how it Should Be and she makes choices about how she wants that to end. it’s about weighing her emotions and her responsibilities and the power that she’s accidentally fallen into and how she resolves it.
