I was only 5 when it was demo'd, but I love watching old docs and filmreels about it!

I drive from Allen Park to Troy pretty often at night. I feel like the structure itself looks like a bunch of stacked blocks, but the lights on the opposite face sort of pay homage to Detroit's Art Deco past.

Full disclosure, this is the least maintained house on a street littered in old mansions.

Fun fact: E Grand Blvd, where this house is located, is just down the street from Belle Isle!

We're building a new bridge that's closer to Detroit's industrial corridor which connects directly to the 401 on the Canadian side. Fittingly named after Canadian Hockeytown legend Gordie Howe 🙌🏻

Ulysses S. Grant House (b.1837)

Originally located in Black Bottom, it was moved to the State Fair Grounds in 1939, and again to Eastern Market in 2020.
