El canciller Quirno encabeza en Washington la comitiva que busca cerrar el entendimiento libertario con la Casa Blanca Trump. Aunque el pacto incluye rebajas arancelarias y exportaciones de carne, el principal obstáculo son las normas sobre medicamentos y agroquímicos. El Gobierno intenta cerrar lo antes posible el acuerdo comercial con Estados Unidos, pero aún le resta resolver un punto clave en la negociación: **la cuesti ón de la propiedad intelectual y la ley de patentes, exigencias clave de la Casa Blanca**. En esa discusión está enfrascada desde ayer la comitiva oficial en Washington, que encabeza el canciller **Pablo Quirno** e integran funcionarios de Economía y Desregulación. **“ La propiedad intelectual es posiblemente el tema de mayor preocupación de Estados Unidos”**, admitieron ante **elDiarioAR** fuentes de la administración de **Javier Milei** al tanto de las conversaciones en la capital norteamericana. Aunque el acuerdo implica bajas arancelarias para unos 150 productos y la exportación de carne argentina, el capítulo sobre patentes y marcas es sobre el cual Donald Trump exige mayores garantías. Lo que está sobre la mesa de tratativas es el llamado “Informe 301” que publicó EE.UU. meses atrás y que lleva la firma del representante comercial de los Estados Unidos, **Jamieson Greer** , de la USTR (United States Trade Representative). En ese documento el gobierno norteamericano le reclamó a la Argentina derogar resoluciones que impiden la vigencia de la Ley de Patentes –sancionada en 1995–, especialmente en el sector de medicamentos y agroquímicos donde los laboratorios locales copian fórmulas y las comercializan sin pagar derechos. **Argentina est á en la “Lista de Vigilancia Prioritaria”**, según el documento 301. Advierte sobre “preocupaciones respecto a la insuficiente protección o aplicación de la propiedad intelectual, así como a acciones que limitan el acceso al mercado para quienes dependen de dicha protección”. El país integra un grupo que –bajo la mirada de EE.UU.– **comparten Chile, China, India, Indonesia, M éxico, Rusia y Venezuela. ** La mención a la Argentina en el llamado "Informe 301" de EE.UU. Puntualmente en el caso argentino, las trabas que Washington quiere quitar son la **derogaci ón de las resoluciones 118/2012, 546/2012 y 107/2012 –establecidas durante el segundo mandato de Cristina Kirchner–** sobre “las pautas para el examen de Patentabilidad de las solicitudes de Patentes sobre Invenciones Químico-Farmacéuticas”. Desde que asumió, Milei busca cumplir todas las exigencias norteamericanas, pero aún choca con el lobby de los laboratorios extranjeros y los nacionales, tanto para patentes medicinales como en semillas. Pese a lo espinoso de la discusión, en la comitiva libertaria hay optimismo. “Esto es un proceso”, consideró una fuente oficial consultada. Según la hoja de ruta que maneja el Gobierno, “primero se hace un anuncio de que se ha alcanzado un acuerdo, más tarde se firma el acuerdo en sí, que tiene distintos componentes, y luego hay instrumentación posterior”. > Pero pese a las intenciones,**a ún la Casa Rosada no pudo confirmar que el acuerdo ya esté firmado. **En la previa al viaje de Quirno, el embajador de la Argentina en Washington, Alec Oxenford, dijo el lunes que pronto “habrá novedades”, sin posibilidad de dar detalles: “El acuerdo está prácticamente terminado. Ahora **depende de encontrar el momento adecuado de las partes para poner el mo ño y comunicarlo.** La verdad que estas cosas que tienen alto impacto a veces se busca el momento adecuado”, planteó el diplomático. Los detalles del acuerdo se mantienen en estricta reserva. Quirno viajó a EE.UU. acompañado del secretario de Coordinación de Producción del Ministerio de Economía, Pablo Lavigne, junto con funcionarios de Desregulación de Federico Sturzenegger.
