I’ll say it again: It was a huge mistake for Congress to abolish itself.

CENTCOM’s big bad wolf that they said all resources must be expanded upon is actually a paper tiger with decent asymmetric capabilities that spent the last two years getting exploded by various radio shack components. Thanks for proving INDOPACOM should actually have the resources.

I want to see a good structural IO paper on the exit from antibiotics R&D. Lots of supply side and demand side hypotheses. Escalation in trial costs, reduced POS from declining productivity from existing methods. DRGs, genericization, etc.

Soliciting thoughts. Why do price controls work so well in healthcare? They are an international norm. All ex-US countries use them, even when they have "multipayer" systems. Any thoughts from the economists? @florianederer.bsky.social or others?
