While many may be tempted to cut the U.S. off as an ally and partner, I hope our friends don’t give up on us so easily.

Tonight, December 13, the Geminid meteor shower reaches its peak, lighting up the sky with one of the most dazzling displays of the year. Under dark evening skies, you could spot up to 100–120 meteors an hour, many of them bright, colorful, and slow enough to enjoy.
