I think what's worse is that it goes well-beyond (and in a way, also falls short) of a military occupation -- this isn't occupation, it's a hot war featuring a secret police militia nightmare roving and roaming and terrorizing the populace. This is brownshirts shit. ICE is a sanctioned terror gang.
Its not that the media is not covering what is happening, but it does feel like the military occupation of an American city should be treated as a national crisis.

I'm seeing a lot of posts to call your reps but little on actually how. 5calls.org is a great site where you can put in your zip code and get numbers for your house representative and two senators. You also can get a script if you're like me and stumble over your thoughts.

I called my reps and left messages. I'm furious and heartbroken, but not surprised. The US has a history of this behavior that's a million miles long.

This argument is particularly disingenuous given that Trump and Hegseth are going to be indicted as war criminals elsewhere for this. Cotton’s justification would rationalize foreign attacks on Mar a Lago to arrest Trump
Tom Cotton: "Congress isn't notified when the FBI is going to arrest a drug trafficker or cyber criminal here in the US, nor should Congress be notified when the executive branch is executing arrests on indicted persons. And that's really what you can make the analogy to here."
