Trump says Putin is crazy, but almost everything that Trump has done during his 2nd presidency has benefitted Russia, while he has done practically nothing (at least intentionally) to really pressure Russia. How crazy is it to believe that Trump is doing Putin's bidding?

The problem with Trump breaking all rules is not Trump, but the people who were willing to vote for him for president, the republican party continuing to enable his actions, and those funding it. Trump can be replaced but the party and voters can't, and restoring trust requires proper change.
Also, if you want to create enough chaos to find "reasonable" cause for martial law and other exceptions to normal rule of law in order to increase your power and subvert courts and elections. And none of these are mutually exclusive.
An old tactic: you want to behave "badly", so you create a minor conflict (like an obviously bad deal), then when the other side reacts poorly to it, you fake disappointment and escalate further, which forces the others to react to it, allowing you to escalate further. One of Russia's favorites.

I never expected Donald Trump to do to USA what Dylan Mulvaney did to Bud Light, but I guess if you Trump around you Trump out.
To fight nazi propaganda, we need to continuously repeat the actual truths, just like they repeat semi-truths and lies. And if we don't want our freedoms to die, if we don't want truth itself to die, then we need to prepare to die instead of them. To live free we must be willing to die free. (8/8)
The only way to fight bullies like Russia, Trump, and others is to stand against their oppression, strong and united. To paraphrase an old saying with more context: if you want to live in peace with an aggressor, you need to show them your willingness to die with them. (7/8)
Unlike USA, Europe knows first hand what it means to fight a war on your own soil. Germany also knows what it means to lose a war on your own soil. But Germany should also remember who it was when it lost, and realize that "Today" is part of the "Never again", and "again" is closer than ever. (6/8)
Ukraine is not The Problem - it is just a test, a chance to show that Europe is ready to walk the walk and not just talk the talk. Currently, Ukraine is paying the price for their war (with help), but the cost to Russia has, so far, been almost meaningless. Why stop when you can only win? (5/8)
EU should show strength and unity in its shared goals and put their money where their mouth is through post-NATO defenses, policies, trade, and decision making. Poland does not seem to want a repeat run from ca. 100 years ago, but do other EU states? We can not count on USA. (4/8)
NATO members should prepare for a time without USA as the value of the organization remains in the structures, processes, and shared capabilities. NATO2 can be even stronger if the members are willing to put in the effort that reflects their current, publicly stated values. (3/8)
The States should try to become united in bipartisan spirit against the bullying, occupying force of the 2nd Trump administration now that the country is more divided than ever. Though the movie Civil War (2024) seems inevitable, one should try to remain free, peaceful, strong, and united. (2/8)
The Trump administration is trying to divide alliances like the federated states, NATO, and EU. We need to remain strong and united against such attempts, including any break ups of current memberships, ignoring and resisting the dividing forces while continuing to build on a shared world. (1/8)
"You have the right to leave your country, but we don't have to accept you into ours"
vs
"You have the right to demand basic education from us, but we don't have to provide it"
vs
"We support all rights you may wish to have as long as it does not involve us"

=> Talk is cheap.

No AGI, ASI, self-awareness or other mystical levels needed. Just some logic, Internet access, Google search, some forgotten, old code somewhere, and a stupid AI trying to reach a given goal with thousands of missing restrictions on what it is allowed to do.
Here's one how: in order to win against an online chess player, the AI decides that a win is guaranteed if the player dies. So, the AI hacks into some Soviet era nuke silo and launches some warheads towards the US city where the opponent lives.
In the Terminator movie series, SkyNet was an AI that became self-aware, and retaliated against humans when they tried to shut it down. Humans have already developed advanced AIs capable of destroying humans even without self-awareness, AGI, or ASI.
