Weapons feels like the breaking of the horror mould yet honours it throughout. It's the Pied Piper story retold in a modern setting on a saga scale with a tense atmosphere, grotesque brutality, and camp moments included. Zach Cregger and company made a great film with this one!

Happy to report that The Naked Gun is phenomenally hilarious. Liam Neeson is fantastically comedic as the new Frank Drebin with Pamela Anderson being charismatically electric making the two a treat to watch on screen. A very worthy modern successor to the original franchise!

In a state of curiosity I saw The Legend of Ochi which has some of the most ridiculously beautiful cinematography around with a style that reminds me of old school multiplane animation. But in typical a24 fashion it's a peculiar coming of age story. Solid acting from most though.
