This is what I came home to after the march and I seriously felt so rewarded emotionally LOL

The porpoise vertebrae that I've been working on with a mild acid prep have been producing unusually colorful aragonite crystals. These were taken outdoors with no filter of any kind. I have 2 prior posts if you care to check out the progress.

I'm taking my medically fragile teenager to ours here in the 541. It felt really cathartic to make the signs explaining how much we hate that m************ piece of s***.

He's an indoor Kitty that demands to poo outside. Occasionally he busts through a door and comes home with fleas. We're pretty sure that he has attitude because he was born in a tuxedo.

Over time erosion helps free the agates. They are a silicate and polish to a perfect glass, glossy finish easily.

To start with it's an agate from Oregon. Around 17 million years ago lava erupted and cooled leaving gas bubbles/voids in the igneous rock formations. Over time those voids were filled with mineral rich water that evaporated under extreme heat, over and over. This is called a hydrothermic process. 🧵
