During the initial months of the clan invasion. Crusader clans followed the rules of Zellbringen, honorable combat, to varying degrees. That was until Inner Sphere forces learned to turn their rigid honor system against them. Answering Batchalls with airstrikes.

The Wolverine is an excellent example of a mech that seems fairly mediocre in the Mechwarrior games that turns into a beast on the tabletop.

Unfortunately the Reunification Wars are largely told from the SLDF side of the conflict, as a imperial attempt to wrangle in the troublesome houses and periphery. While many see the conflict as necessary to bring peace to the Inner Sphere, plenty others saw the imperal boot for what it was.

I've said it before and I'll say it again. Inner Sphere gauss is the great equalizer against the clans. Especially when carried in pairs by 95 ton assault mechs

Despite the heavy mech support, Inner sphere soldiers are nervous to face the incoming clan forces during the early days of the Clan Invasion.

Field workshops take the place of mechbays for most battlemechs whilst deployed, freeing up the empty bays for more serious maintenance or salvage work.
