Can I get a "Fuck No!" everybody?! Same. So tired of them forcing AI down our throats as if it's a replacement for the human experience. Ya wanna look for patterns in gigs of data! Go for it, but leave living to humans. Fucking tired of this shit.
Good literary translation requires understanding (language, culture, genre--on both sides of the translation) and an ability to write well. "AI" can't do that. There are no shortcuts. Treat your work and foreign language readers with the respect they deserve. You won't fool anyone with this.
Amazon has launched a new AI-driven translation service, Kindle Translate, for Kindle Direct Publishing authors 👇 #BookSky

Okay. To be fair, there ultimately were no heat-related incidents related to the parade.

BUT I’d still much rather have the minimum be a fursuit head and then a lottery for spots in the parade if it has to be capped. Keep Animal Farm “some suits are more equal than others” out of my cons.
Well, here we are again. It’s always such a pleasure. Remember when you decided to give us heat stroke in the parade? Oh, how we laughed and laughed. Except I wasn’t laughing. Because of the heat stroke.

Surely there’s a clue somewhere about why Blue got so big. Maybe some frozen drinks in those lay-down thinking chairs down there will help…

Do you think that computers would ever have invented calculus on their own? Do you think that a computer can conceive the existence of a curve?

This angle might work. Administration doing everything it can to make illiteracy worse? I’ll do everything I can to talk about the pleasure of reading for its own sake.

People who use a grinder for their salt…why? It’s a rock.

Freshly grinding spices makes sense—there are volatiles that escape over time.

But salt is like the one thing that doesn’t need it. So why bother?

It’s silly…when you build part of your persona around being “the guy who reads,” you can feel so inadequate when it comes in fits and spurts. When it does, you hold onto it, hoping this time it won’t wane.

Maybe someday I’ll learn how to hold the momentum

Can the New York Times explain why they kicked me off the bestseller list supposedly because Heavenly Tyrant is "published outside the United States" even though Iron Widow, from the same publisher, hit the same list 40+ times in 2021-2022 with no problems?
