The Hisuian Growlithe statues at the entry to Kitakami Hall in Pokémon Scarlet/Violet not only resemble Komainu (lion-dog statues) but also mimic the a-gyo & un-gyo poses reflected in Japanese buddhism with one mouth closed and one mouth opened, which symbolizes beginning/ending
