In the 00s my friend lent me Pikmin.

I wandered around w irk becoming anger in a tiny grass room style area and literally no button I pressed did a single fucking thing.

I was fucked off, turned it off, returned it to her, forgot it existed.

Just saw it on a list of best GC games.

Pls explain?

you should really check the games out again - i feel like either 4 or 3 are the best places to start, since they explain a lot about how the games work

people love it for it's gameplay, but also it's lovable characters, the best example being the first and second game's main protagonist - Captain Olimar! he's the most developed out of all of them and is an endearing everyman working a shitty freight job

anyway, pikmin is about controlling an army of exactly 100 little dudes called Pikmin, and the goal is to obtain the most collectibles (ship parts, treasure, fruit, ect depending on the game) in a fast and efficient manner, which includes keeping your pikmin alive and well
