They would be, but they don't distribute down here often, so it's definitely top end budget. A nice member benefit treat this. Getting their Pale Horse and Hantiserie IPA.

Also, Messorem tap handles were delivered, the kids of pale and IPA have been delayed from Montreal though, but scheduled treat for after the Zombiespiel.

Last night's tipple was Alien Observer from Foam, a super tasty 5% jackfruit, grapefruit and sea salted sour. It's something I could potentially get for the club if it's available after the Collective Arts Jam Up the Mash.

As amazing as she is, that's always how I first think of her, as I was one of those kids who saw her on TV as a youngster.

With that 5-0 win, England qualify for the World Cup.
It was against another not great footy nation, in a weak group, but they kept a clean sheet and qualified with games in hand.
Will be disappointed all the same in England and all these countries who do come to the US for the world cup though.

So our club has a Smart Broom, which members can book out for practice or during Thursday noon clinics. It's pretty nifty, getting weight and frequency of the brush stroke. Shame it only has iOS app, as they stopped developing the Android app 4 years ago, which you can sideload and just about works.

Great weekend in VT, really for friends letting us crash at their place. Even had a slight break in the clouds at night for a couple of photo's of the stars.
Last nights tipple, Nitro Stout, from Lawson's, a really smooth, tasty 5.4% ABV, and something that I could potentially get for the club.

The research continues with a stop at Lawson's on the way home. Solid flight and nibbles.

Eldest, wasn't really interested in UVM, but youngest was, and the drama department and people were super lovely.

I get a lot of Burlington Beer for the club, so we hit the brewery, and food was good. Got a flight of the Falling for Fall and it was a nice selection.

Frost, was on the way, and asked for their favourites for a take out 4 pack...

It would be rude not to stop at the Pro Pig on the way up for some burnt ends and grits and other fun dishes.

Last evening, our DEI Committee at the club hosted a skills tune up clinic as part of the season start up, with members and local area curlers, and it was a great night :)

The other day I was at the doctor's and Restaurant Depot is around the corner and I've the club card on my Google wallet, so swung by and got these bangers for pretty cheap, $15 for 5lbs box, less than x2 regular pack. Not the best in the world, but they're still solid for a sausage sarnie...

That's a great can design too.

Last night's curling got done early. We were the side buying the drinks.
Lucky enough to snag a case of this limited Theory of Tides collab between Equilibrium & Vitamin Sea, a fab, hazy, smooth 8.2% DIPA. Saving it for after Zombiespiel, but it would be rude not to pull one up early for myself...

Well the early morning weather has reached pert levels of chilly then...

Annual check up and rabies jab for Mr Bond... And like all of us, he could do with losing a pound or so, and we've been recommended a behavior specialist to help with his quirks, but it's otherwise healthy.

Kevin Bridges was the show last night and he was fantastic! He's performing again tonight in Boston if anyone fancies it.

Night cap at the Rock & Rye after, always a good spot.
arandombloke.bsky.social
Almost 2 hours to go 23 miles downtown, why do we do this?
Finally hitting French Quarter in Boston and a show is why. This place lived up to the hype.

Equilibrium Ein-Stein Oktoberfest marzen was last night's sample net.
A solid 5.5% drink, not as malty as Aeronaut's Oktoberfest, but a little more but than Great North Aleworks Marzen Rover.

For those of you wondering what the #trans ban in #curling would look like, I present to you the policy.

I call it "Cowardice in three Acts"

We, of course, start with talking about "safety" of female athletes and "fairness"

I know this feeling. Doesn't matter if one has kept themselves gym fit over the off season, or just hits differently when you're sweeping on the ice.

Oh that would be lovely! I could send you a Broomstones pin too.
