No disrespect to Jack Black, but Carl Denham in 2005 King Kong is a complicated character, and I'm not sure Black was the right guy to unify his various aspects.

When 2 factions in a play do battle, they share the common goal of keeping seats filled show after show. It does not matter to the theater operator whether Capulets or Montagues prevail, as long as the audience is willing to keep the show running. We should consider withdrawing our support.
