"You can be anything you want" has messed up our society. As a wheelchair user there ARE some things I can't do & that's ok. The issue is w/limiting Disabled ppl unfairly. As a wheelchair user I can be a surgeon, but I can't be a backwoods rescue worker. And someone w/dementia can't be president

In Zotero is there a way to link the in text citation in one paper to the paper that came from? All I'm seeing is the ability to add a tag or highlight/underline. 🤔 #academia

If you call yourself a "ppl pleaser" but the reason you do it is bc you hate how YOU feel when others are struggling & the things you do aren't things the other person asked for, isn't that just pleasing yourself? Maybe we should rename that behavior "self pleasing" 🤔

What does a literature review at the start of a PhD program look like? I've been able to find dissertations to get an idea what that will be like but not sample literature reviews (specifically for the start of a PhD program)

Just a revolving door where you slap the leads on me, tell me it's indigestion and I can no longer eat dairy after 5, give me a pat on the back and let me pick out a toy from the treasure chest behind the counter and send me on my way 😂

I've been properly medicated for my ADHD for most of this semester. I just went back to look at past semesters folders/notes and 😳. I knew it was bad but not THAT bad! 😭 If you have been putting off trying meds, do it! And keep at it until you find a combo that works for you!

Hard times in life are hard. They also give you a chance to see the support you have from the community you poured into. I'm not happy for the hard time but it's helping my heart to see the people who care 💕😭

If you have a pt that's screaming and not communicating, consider turning the lights down and making it as quiet as possible. It could be that they are severely overwhelmed by all the normal sensory input PLUS severe pain and change of routine/ having no control of what's happening
Yrs ago I was hospitalized w/a very painful condition & was in a shared room which was loud & bright & lost my ability to talk & had a severe autistic meltdown due to the pain+sound+lights. I was treated sooo badly. It makes me so worried for higher support needs Autistic ppl in hospitals 💔
