Science communicator, museum worker and lifelong learner. Views are my own.

I have nothing important to say. Expect high doses of science, nerd, pop culture and useless opinions.

Also a dad. Oh shit, who let me do this?
Pluribus is a wild show. I had no idea what this show was about and maybe that made it all the better.

Leaving a well paying job for work I love with no guaranteed future of a better role has been rough. I really love sci comm and science education. Going to work every day is great. I just hate living on the edge with a much lower income. Hopefully it changes in the new year.

I dropped my tablet. It broke. I am now sad and frustrated. I very much liked having a surface tablet.

Many people have strong feelings about Thanksgiving. I admit that I have never expressly disliked it but only in recent years have I switched to being a big fan.

If I could cook at every family gathering, I would be happier.

I feel attacked.
My inner monologue:

I've been incredibly productive these last few days. Non stop cleaning, cooking, and getting to projects that needed done. An unusually relentless pace for me

I just needed to say it somewhere. Into the void will have to do.

Was cruising today with cleaning and project planning then just hit a mental brick wall. Been on my phone for an hour. I hate my brain some days.

There is and will continue to be a housing shortage across the country. No decent person thinks these will do anything more then keep people in poverty and in dead end jobs.

Also Shut up JD. Release the Epstein files!
JD Vance: "A lot of young people are saying housing is way too expensive. Why is that? Because we flooded the country with 30 million illegal immigrants who were taking houses that ought by right go to American citizens."

This is both comically ignorant economically and, on the immigrant count, empirically wrong by a factor of 2-3.

Today feels like a tidal wave of Epstein news and movement and many arent talking about it. I dont think its for lack of want but because so much of it is there and its impossible to keep up with it and report on it accurately.

CNN: Do you still have a question about whether Donald Trump knew about the sexual abuse at the hands of Jeffrey Epstein?

GOP REP. PETE SESSIONS: Well, I've not gone through all of the documents

New York Times killed Weinstein and Epstein stories but just asked Ms Rachel if she was funded by Hamas.

Accurate. Many of us I think know this but we have to keep pushing regardless of this likely outcome.

Todd Blanche would have had these emails before interviewing Maxwell. Why didn’t he question her directly about her exchanges? Why did he not follow up when she said things that were onviously a lie?? This shows that was a performance intended to dupe the public and benefit her (and Trump)

If you have someone you can call to more pressure on about the Epstein files, do so. As many force multiplies and there can be need to be pushing hard.

“Look the Situation Room is where we hold all meetings when we’re at PEDCON 1”
Q: "Why are White House officials…meeting with Rep. Boebert in an effort to try to get her to not sign this petition calling for the release of the [Epstein] files?"

Leavitt: "I'm not going to detail conversations that took place in the situation room."

Any representative who changes their position on releasing the Epstein Files is actively participating in a cover up.

With Grijalva sworn in they have the votes. The only reason for a GOP rep to change their position now is to hide the truth about Trump’s involvement.
A direct email exchange from 2011 between Jeffrey Epstein and Ghislaine Maxwell, just released by House Oversight Committee Democrats.

Folks, the reporting is that Trump is making PERSONAL CALLS to Mace, MTG and others about the discharge petition. Would you be doing this if you had nothing to hide? Let's please all be serious here.

Im struggling to see the strategy of the people who have the evidence against Trump/Epstein but slowly release it. I may be missing an angle that is about legality or effective strategies. Maybe theres a lot of legal action that needs this remain ready for a courtroom. I dont know, Its odd.

insane to me that the only way we seem to be able to frame the epstein case is as a big cartoon hammer with which to bonk our enemies, rather than the horrors that were Actually experienced by its Actual victims

Every time I see posts about this I ask myself why it is that they dont want people to look at them. The answer will likely not surprise you.
