New press release from #RICOH about the #ricohgr4! I'm not really a fan of the switch to micro SD, but if it means a bigger battery 🤷🏻♀️. The rocker switch is prone to accidental presses IMO where my thumb lies. And I quite like the spinning wheel, so losing that is 😔. #grsnaps #ricohgr #ricohgriv 1/2

I've always disliked the limited #watermarking features in #LightroomClassic. I now use #Darktable, which offers a better watermark tool and supports #webp exports—both important features to me. However, for watermarking screenshots or diagrams for my blog, I turn to the #CLI tool #ImageMagick. 1/2

If you can only choose one specific subject or object to photograph in a city; what would you choose? I'm thinking maybe bus stops? There's always someone interesting waiting for the bus it seems! I also like the idea of capturing interesting shop fronts. #streetphotography #streetphotographer

I watched 2 videos recently of husbands surprising their Mrs with plushies by #jellycat. Never heard of them... But they have a popup in Hong Kong, Times Square so I went to have a look. I didn't buy anything but there were quite a lot of customers! Genuinely curious; what makes them so popular? #hk

Major cleaning day on my coffee bar before 2025! Urnex cleaning products are always reliable! Have only used biocaf before but now with the Morning Dream milk steamer, I needed to add Rinza and Liquid Dezcal to my cleaners. #specialtycoffee #homebarista #homecoffee #homebrewer #brewathome #coffeesky

I personally hate installing #apps on my #android. All the permissions required is almost a joke. I either find #FOSS alts (on #fdroid or #github) and support indie devs. Or use #PWA aka #webapps. I've been using them a lot more and I feel they're not promoted enough. Here's a guide. #fediverse

Finally got the Morning Dream Milk Steamer from #Kickstarter. Still need way more practice on my part but it's so nice to finally have a way to get proper microfoam in my manual espresso setup with the Cafelat Robot. #coffeenerd #coffeesky #espresso #homebarista #specialtycoffee

Been really itching to learn how to self-host services; like Radicale, Squeezebox, Bitwarden etc. Hoping to get a RPi 4B 8GB soon at a retail price (if rumors are right on having everything back in stock by the end of Q3 2023). Looking at VPS options in the meantime... What do you like to self-host?

Time to try out another micro-blogging platform! I am mostly on Mastodon these days, having decided to leave Twitter behind (https://fosstodon.org/@eclecticpassions), but I'm interested in trying Bluesky as well. It's nice I can use my own domain as my handle on Bsky.
