Dear Pi-folk of @thepihut.bsky.social… can anyone confirm that this here Waveshare 12.3” works on M4 MacMini as sole display…? (Cos the equivalent from Amazon - “Trogtratric” branded - died immediately on first connection, after working fine for weeks on other devices)

Finally got me an M4 MacMini, and sweet jesus the power…! VCV patches that had i7 MB Pro & Xeon trash can pinned at full load with fans squealing prance along on the M4 at ~20-30%.
Also, buffer size dropped from 256 to 32 with not so much as a blip.
These things are RIDICULOUS.

Finally got me an M4 MacMini, and sweet jesus the power…! VCV patches that had i7 MB Pro & Xeon trash can pinned at full load with fans squealing prance along on the M4 at ~20-30%.
Also, buffer size dropped from 256 to 32 with not so much as a blip.

Sadly it died yesterday… so once I get a refund it’ll be the pricier Waveshare version for The Pi Hut mefinx.

Lots to be said for end-to-end analog - the K2 with a lovely clicky externally keyed (by RD6 hi tom) Drawmer DS404 gate on top of an inserted ducking comp on the channel, thru a Drawmer DL241 comp on the master. That and the fact I owned ‘em long before going anywhere near a synth. #synthsky
