It isn't a "crumbs or nothing scenario."🙄
If voters would give Democrats the majorities they need & not break up their trifectas every midterm, they'd be able to pass a real legislative agenda.
Even with a slim House majority & a 50-50 Senate, the 117th Congress was the most productive in years.

I posted a couple of threads about this.

The last Democrat to win the majority of the white vote was LBJ in 1964.
With a Democratic trifecta & a large moderate Republican faction in Congress, LBJ was able to get the Voting Rights Act of 1965 passed, but in the 1966 midterms, Democrats lost 40 House seats, 3 Senate seats & 8 governorships.🧵

Just shows you haven’t been paying attention to the makeup of the govt. Every midterm after a Dem is elected pres, the whiny left protest that election b/c “things don’t happen fast enough!” and give the Republicans more congressional seats. Happens every time. THAT’s why things don’t get fixed.

The last time Democrats had a trifecta with a supermajority for 72 days, they needed votes from senators like Manchin from GOP stronghold states like:

It's tough to understand how we got stuck in this cycle where every time a Democratic president does as much as they can with the trifecta they come into office with, the electorate breaks it up in the midterms, then elects a GOP president with a trifecta who dismantles their accomplishments.

I don’t know why anyone votes R.
Just in recent history - Bush handed Obama a mess & O fixed it.
O handed Trump a sound economy & he smashed it, then handed Biden the Covid mess & B fixed it.
B handed Trump the best post-Covid economy in the world & T is destroying it.
Why vote for those clowns?

It's a combination of things.
Democrats are less reliable voters than Republicans in the midterms, which breaks up trifectas & stops real work for the 2 years leading up to the presidential election.
Lack of pragmatism.
Purity BS, disinformation & groupthink results in voluntary disenfranchisement.
We could talk about the same “flip back to idiocy” phenomenon from Joe McCarthy/Nixon or back to Hoover. I will never understand the flip back to the R insanity.

I just saw a video on Instagram by @deardean22.bsky.social who said that thes "both parties are the same" voices only want to keep people from voting and are targeting especially Black men. He also said that these voices are increasing now already preparing / targeting the midterms.

Thank you! Amazing thread (I hadn't seen it before).

And on top of all today we have to add #Palantir and it's operations and government contracts.

Propaganda is a powerful tool that helped turn 1 of the most advanced/civilized countries in the world into Nazi Germany using mostly newspapers, radio & film.
Today, there are numerous ways to spread disinformation, which I posted a thread about a couple days ago.
bsky.app/profile/jasm...
The combination of social media, cable news, podcasts, dubious news websites & the SBG’s control of local news stations has resulted in the non-stop flow of disinformation that’s been detrimental to the Democrats who’ve been facing a political pincer movement from the far left & the far right.

For all those "Both parties are the same" idiots, this wouldn't have happened if Harris was POTUS.
Harris wouldn't deport people to prisons in El Salvador or Sudan or have ICE terrorize non-white communities across the US.
No BBB
No tariffs
No Neville Chamberlain act with Putin
No 43 day shutdown
🤦🏾‍♀️

"Revolution is brewing?"
You leftists can't even take 30 minutes out of your day to vote, even with the SCOTUS majority on the ballot or to prevent a fascist from becoming president.
You don't even vote against your interests because you don't fucking vote.
All you do is whine like toddlers.
🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣
December 10, 2025 at 9:31 AM
It's absolutely fucking pathetic how you keep blaming Democrats & the liberals on the SCOTUS for what the GOP & the conservatives do.
When's the last time the GOP authored any legislation that benefits the majority of Americans or the last time the conservatives didn't vote for what the GOP wants?

It's not the Democrats fault that millions of "antifascist progressives" refused to vote for Harris against the fascist candidate.
Whining about the Democrats being powerless when voters made them powerless is typical leftist bullshit.
What a fucking waste of time you are to talk to.🙄

Citizens United was decided 5-4 by the conservative majority with all 4 liberals voting against it.
Same with Dobbs and Rucho v. Common Cause.
Neither would still be precedents today with a liberal-majority SCOTUS, which we'd have if leftists didn't refuse to vote for HRC in 2016.

Voters should've thought about that before handing Trump a trifecta since he already tried to repeal it during the 115th Congress and only failed by 1 vote back when there were 3 moderate Republicans in the Senate.
Same with cabinet members, the judiciary & giving Thomas & Alito a chance to retire.

What does any of that have to do with the Democrats?
The 6-3 conservative SCOTUS overturned Roe without 1 liberal vote.
The GOP passed state laws banning abortion without exceptions for rape & incest & DGAF if pregnant women die.
The Biden admin didn't deny people due process.
The Trump admin did.
December 10, 2025 at 8:55 AM
YDK WTF you're talking about.
0 of the liberal justices voted for Dobbs, but every blue/purple state with a Democratic trifecta passed laws protecting reproductive rights.
Biden didn't deport people without due process, just Trump.
Are you really blaming the Democrats for the GOP's actions?
