the tantacrul guy was like "this fits so well with our other logos" and yeah, but, those logos are so bland, generic and lifeless they are the barnum statements of logos, the more generic they are, the easier the mental gymnastics you need to do to be like "oh yeah, this totally fits this product"

i've had a smoother experience on wayland for things like games and video playback, but i'm also annoyed at its lack of consistency, like for a display server built with multi-monitor support to not remember where windows were, it's just silly

140.3.0esr is also behaving the same way. switching to X11 seemingly "fixed" it, even when i went back to wayland, it worked fine for a while, but the problem is back. this feels more like dealing with a whimsical creature than with a deterministic machine

the rising edge is quite wonky and the transitions are as well, so, maybe this is a rejected real one that didn't pass QC or something? whatever this is, it's much more usable than the crappy stuff i had before: bsky.app/profile/anth...
