Sort of. Was the Etsy seller doing the printing too or did they send you the .STL file? Every printer uses a different slicing method (which converts the .STL to print code and adds support structure etc) and that requires about an hour of work so for us that's liek $30-45 maximum.

Depends on the material and complexity of design. Chances are what you paid for will be better quality than what the library would offer. But there's no way a 6x6 object uses three kg of medium. They're charging you for print time at that point. Setup fee+material should be all you pay for.
