Fan-art online had me believing Shantae is a genie who grants wishes and gets summoned via magic lamp and goes on adventures among other character things. I feel like I've been gaslit because I got a different reading of her character.

She does grant a wish using magic maybe once but I feel like the half-genie girl is completely different from what I expected once I played the games.

"My personal code is just saving art from artists I see; like copies for myself. I don't repost art from deleted artists on my accounts out of respect, and I know I'm not entitled to anyone's art. But I will archive and preserve art I admire out of habit.

"Not based on any specific artist. Saw a post referencing this phenomenon and thought 'hey, that happened to me'.

Artists disappearing and removing all their work! I don't repost their work but I do like saving copies to admire later just in case. Save your favorites."

Sometimes an artist will just leave forever out of the blue. Whatever the reason, just be prepared to archive your favorite artworks.
