Thank you for being the good guy
Ooh, those look good! I need to look out that Extremophiles book. I hope you have an enjoyable reading day after the chores
I think we could say generative AI can be rejected and we can keep it for things like protein-folding and climate prediction
Fabulous! So much talent. And I love Helen. She's such an inspiration
We started the internetn(or the web, which is what you really mean). Been using it since before you were born. And we're not the ones using ChatGPT for everything (or anything). It's not us refusing vaccines and getting lip implants
Were you at the private viewing yesterday? I looked out for you, but didn't see you
Thank you! Yes!!! During the pandemic, many children's authors and others made material freely available as a generous act of support. Now many of us are screwed by schools stealing our stuff long after. It is NOT OK
Are people afraid of going on a bus? Why?
While I don't approve of the free advertising or the over-priced food, I don't think it prevents other people buying cheaper food
Labour weren't in power when the PO was privatised. In fact, they were the only party not responsible, as it was the Cameron-Clegg alliance in 2011
Absolutely agree that the film explores it brilliantly. But some things are more safely explored in art than in real life, on unsuspecting individuals who didn't sign up for the experiment
We already know we are taking certain risks agreeing to meet a man. If you haven't factored in those risks (as this man hadn't, believing he was meeting a biolgical female), it's perhaps different. Deceit is more often a starting point to violence in men than in women
Exactly - it varies for different people. If I fell in love with a man and he turned out to be biologically female I think only the deception would bother me, not the gender. But it was clearly different for this man. Also, it feels safer for someone to turn out to be biologically female
Also - welcome immigrants to the workforce. Though taxing the rich equally important
I think there's a big difference between wanting to find a rich partner (or whatever) and wanting to choose the gender and/or biological sex of your partner. The first is superficial but the second is a deep instinct. If I wanted a relationship with a woman and found she had a penis I'd think twice
And people have bought into it! You can't be surprised the technobrats tried it on, but everyone who has started to use it is aiding and abetting
So it can talk to itself on other people's computers. Really useful 🙄
The EU ruled on the use of English words when the only English-speaking nation in the EU is Eire?
Asking householders for permission to burgle would kill the burglary business...
I'm feeling that about writing at the moment. I'm hoping it will pass (not only because it's how I make a living) - and learning to make stained glass in the meantime. Try something different for a bit? Don't write off your art — it's beautiful. Perhaps you just need a break to refill
Olga and Antonia are a great team - I expect it will be brilliant!
We don't need any more shit. Just stop releasing all this rubbish, we've lost interest
No, they won't need to put away £1600, increasing 2%pa from age 25. You forgot about the government topping it up with the tax they don't pay on their contributions, and you forgot the employer's contribution which most people get. Shoddy maths
