Another favourite from the BC coast: the surf scoter. With that wild bill and ghost-white eye, it looks almost like a puffin 🪶📷

One of those creatures that always brings a smile to my salt-weathered face.

I love a calm morning aboard the boat, watching the fog drift across the water and through the trees.

Stillness is not stagnation. It's a kind of meditation. Just listening to the wild tell me what is important.

We belong to something older than ambition.

On a foggy morning, as we departed our anchorage, a rare fogbow arched over the shoreline with a perfect reflection in the calm ocean.

I took some pano shots by hand and used Lightroom's Photo Merge feature to stitch them together – worked like a charm!
