Other authors whose works are involved in the Anthropic settlement, are you making a claim? If so and you are traditionally published, are you accepting the “Default” recovery option or filing for the “Alternative” option?

It’s nuts to me that you can no longer step foot on the Columbia University campus, this place where I played freely as a little girl, which was always an integral part of the neighborhood, w/o an active Columbia ID, but on the positive side maybe it’s helping to keep ICE out.

“The settlement administrator will contact authors whose books are part of the eligible class directly with settlement details and claim forms… A searchable database with the books in the suit will be made available in October.”

We’re so accustomed to easily having copies of anything. Imagine the days when a writer would send a typewritten manuscript off to an agent or editor or publisher, and it would be the writer’s only copy!
