@ronnisalt.bsky.social is one of Australia's most gifted writers. This is unarguably one of her most powerful and important pieces. Read it, share it, reflect upon it, and act for peace, compassion, empathy, and understanding.

Thank you, @ronnisalt.bsky.social.

I had a massive fight yesterday with my friend who is pretty much anti Jewish. I was trying to explain that lots of Jewish people don’t agree with Israel bombing innocent people, but it’s almost impossible to explain to some people the difference.

I’m pretty chuffed my offspring won a prize for best teacher. I’m thrilled for them. They deserve their recognition for being so dedicated.

I wonder if our hate speech laws will protect witches and pagans from discrimination, or are they still considered evil old hags without any further thought?

I decided to get some plants for my bathroom with the new bath. It’s really helped transform the entire room. It’s Saturn in Pisces actualised in physical space. Next task is connect plumbing. (She giggles).

When people are in grief they look for someone to blame. Politicising this terrible situation in Bondi is just not helping anyone deal with the loss. Dragging out John Howard or Josh Frydenberg in not helpful. They make it political and they are not in power.

At the moment I am creating a new tarot deck, which is actually much more complicated than I originally intended. I’ve been reading tarot cards since I was 15, but for all the knowledge I’ve gained it is still difficult to make into a unique deck that follows the themes I am working with.

Brief report after very brief exploration: this is a good interim interface and thank GOD the catalogue entries are back. I immediately printed several I need. On the interface, they have my very favorite thing, a chronological sort. Short 🧵 follows. #medievalsky
An interim version of the Explore Archives and Manuscripts Catalogue is now available through the BL website: searcharchives.bl.uk

It contains all the catalogue data from the eve of the 2023 cyberattack, and features embedded links to all currently available digitised content within the records.

Also some aboriginal way back, some AfroEnglish now too if you’re counting my cousins love interests. I’m even related to Sam Altman via marriage and he is Jewish background as well. People need to take a freaking chill pill about racism and religion.
Also lots of us are integrated in the same family. I have Jewish and Indian in my family I’m a pixie worshiper. You can’t classify us in this way. We are so mixed up.

I burst into tears 3 times today. It’s just so sad. You can see how much grief people are feeling. It’s good to see that the different governments have at least agreed to strengthen gun laws. We don’t need it in our beloved country. It’s built on principles of freedom and peace through diversity.

By the way, you see a detail of a satire broadside about cuckoldry published in #earlymodern Europe.
