How are you holding up?
What are you up to today?

Mom gave me this pretty white aster, a division off the big clump in her garden.
I'm worried I won't have enough sun for it, but for now it looks pretty with my other late-season flowers.

We got an inch of much-needed rain last night!

Delicate white asters in front of a backdrop of green with an occasional flower (blue gentian sage, bright pink scented geranium, and yellow signet marigolds)

I stopped by Mom and Dad's earlier this week. They get more sun than I do -- these beautiful dahlias had taken over their compost heap. Dozens of blooms!

Two large pink dahlia blooms, one facing slightly to the lower left, the other towards the upper right. They are in delicate shades of shell pink and cream. Each blossom is made up of dozens of petals that are curled into cylindrical tubes, so that they stick out in a wonderful dimensional flower

Thank you! It's good to be home, but the drive out was very pretty (4.5 hours over a small mountain pass). We took the big/fast pass last night (4 hours).
I'm glad the end is in sight for your move! Good luck with the final push.

We spent a couple days in Eastern Washington visiting family.
It's sagebrush, vineyard, and orchard country.
Native sagebrush becomes vineyards and orchards when irrigated.

Fun to see everyone, but it's good to be home!
