This is what I use, a GameSir controller, relatively inexpensive. I gave up having to deal with onscreen touch controls—this is the best option, if you ever wanted to dip your toes into phone gaming. It fits snug around the phone.

Pardon the dogs. 🐶
I've been trying really hard to get MSX and MSX2 games running in RetroArch on my Android phone, specifically the Xak series. For some reason, I can't find a comfortable control scheme, and sometimes the games don't run well at all. Might switch to my laptop and use a standalone emulator.
Dark Edge (1993) is one of the most visually striking fighting games of the golden era, a visual style marked by rotating, scaling sprites. Is it good? Serviceable, but no Tekken or Virtua Fighter. Still, it looks fantastic—great color and character design. #arcade #sega #superscaler #retrogaming
I know I'm a crabby old pessimistic socialist, but allow me just this one beacon of hope for #democracy in #Mamdani, whom I strongly feel is this generation's Martin Luther King in the making. Watching him kill it on Fox News of all places made me feel optimistic for the first time in a decade.
We could solve #homelessness this year if we took the profit motive out of housing. If we #decommodify #housing, we get people housed. That's how it works.
Playing the #Persona series for the very first time, starting with Shin Megami Tensei: Persona (or Revelations: Persona, which was the title of the game on the PS1) for the PSP. I plan on playing the #PSP ports of all three OG Persona games.

Thoughts? Advice?

Sega's GP Rider (1990) was, to my eyes, the best looking of all the "super scaler" games, with enough granular detail in both the graphics and physics to put it miles ahead of other contemporary racing titles. It's like a fully realized Hang-On. #gprider #sega #retrogaming #arcade #superscaler
I feel like such a hackfraud using a CRT shader in RetroArch, now.
This is the one city block with the #ICE building in #Portland on most days. I'm struggling to find burning buildings or mass hysteria. This is a common thoroughfare for people heading to and from work, especially nurses and doctors at OHSU or businesses on Macadam.

Locke's journey in Final Fantasy VI is such an epic story of self-realization and learning to carry on in the face of heavy trauma. One of the great character arcs in jRPG history.

Speaking of Lynx homebrew, have you seen Wyvern Tales or Silas Adventure for the Lynx? The first is a jRPG similar to early Final Fantasy...the second is as close as you could get to an Elder Scrolls RPG on the Lynx. Both are amazing achievements and definitely, as you say, magic.
Just assume that the #Trump #administration, in any official government statement, is lying unless the statement is corroborated by clear and factual evidence.

They know that reality does not line up with their philosophies and intentions. They have no reason not to lie.

I legit thought there was a bug on my phone screen, but it was just the crossing out of the word in the caption. 🙃

💜To whoever needs this:

Hey you,
Don't beat yourself up if this week wasn't the most productive or it simply didn't go like you planned. Be gentle on yourself. You're doing the best you can.

No one may have said it to you lately, but I'm proud of you for still being around🫂
I kind of think of the 7800 as the Lynx but with worse games, although there are some major classics. I love Fatal Run, for example. It could have been a NES game. I haven't played much Motor Psycho, but it looks cool. Both systems are improved spectacularly by homebrew games.
The great Mole Mania is a fabulous action-adventure-puzzle game for the original Game Boy. Recently, a full color romhack of the game was released called "Mole Mania DX," and it is awesome.

This is one of my must-have OG GB classics—seeing it in color finally is a treat.

I was just listening again to another great band from this same era and genre, the punky Paisley Underground kind of new wave stuff from '80/'81, Holly and the Italians.

This is really good, kind of similar vibes. "Miles Away" by Holly and the Italians is one of my fave tunes of all time.
Every single #MAGA is Rudy Giuliani with his hair melting trying to hold a press conference at a random strip mall. They are all unserious buffoons. And the country is turning on them—all of them. #fascism #fucktrump #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles
The administration is lying to punish the people of #Portland and #Chicago for the government #shutdown. This is not about crime or insurrection. Any thinking person can see this does not require a military response. We are being targeted. #fascism #trump #WarRavagedPortland #ReleaseTheEpsteinFiles
Didn't expect a Sepultura reference from SAM Retro but I'm pleasantly surprised. 😁
The ColecoVision was a surprisingly adept 8-bit machine. You should try and track down a homebrew game called Caos Begins for the ColecoVision, if you have an emulator. It's a fully fledged MetroidVania with RPG elements.
This game is cute! Recently got translated, although I haven't played it through yet. My brief experience with it was good.
I'm almost positive the same thing is going to happen to the Portland police out here—it's just a matter of time.

They actually think the Portland Police Bureau is Antifa, which is so hilariously out of touch, I have to question the sobriety of anyone who makes that comment.
This game got ported to a few different consoles at the time, I think. I feel like the ColecoVision got a version, even.
