I went to check since my NSO list is in update order. It took 29 updates after Ninja Gaiden 1 to get Ninja Gaiden 2. Incredible.

This is still one my favorite PC Engine games. Not sure what experts of the OG thing of this port but I personally prefer it. It seems to be beloved in Japan. I really should replay this because it's one of Namco's best games.
