Senior iOS developer at BlueTrail Software. I have been writing iOS apps since 2011. Objective-C and Swift, love them both. Other knowledge includes backend development with PHP.
I am willing to bet none of you have opened the iTunes Store app on your phones in over a decade.

I finally regained access to an Apple account I had setup in Japan to buy anime music, and this is a relic. This is iOS 7 in iOS 26.1. Just look at the super thin iconography

Man, people were not kidding when they say App Store Review is being slower dice iOS 26. Which is understandable.

I come from the era where your app review could take months to weeks but my latest app reviews were apparently done within an hour of submission.

Don't you love it when all you want to do is to prepare your App Store Submission and the thing just keeps giving you errors in the 5xx range?

It has been a loooong time since I shipped something of my own, so I'm happy to announce that my Anime Tracking app for Anilist, Silvianna, will receive a big update on October 28 (provided everything goes well).

macOS Tahoe has critically broken my screenshot flow. 🫠 Taking screenshots and dragging them from its preview from an app is an EXTREMELY common thing for me. It doesn't do this anymore. I looked and I can't figure out how to enable that feature. Anyone have a clue?

iPhone unboxing videos are just so weird to me. But it's amazing how creative YouTubers can be to show us how they take a phone, a cable, and two bits of paperwork out of a box in 19 minutes.

Who remembers that crazy era when Xcode came with Line Numbers disabled by default?

Any #iOSDev here using SwiftData with CloudKit in production? How is it working out for you in 2025?

I have also linked this account to my domain, so you know this is in fact me.

I have revamped my website and it's finally live!

Really happy with the theme I chose. Theme is Colordrop by Humberto Rocha.

The idea is to start blogging again. So hopefully, I start doing that sooner rather than later.

A blog where I write about the stuff that interests me and the knowledge I’ve picked up over the years. Expect a lot of iOS development content, along with scripting, automation, and the occasional si...

Wonderful news!
You also don't need a new Apple Watch for the new sleep score feature.

You don't need the latest Apple Watches for hypertension notifications!

Dunno why, I'm just very happy about this.

The lady presenting the iPhone is at the Aventura Mall in Miami, I have no doubts. I was there in May 😅

Unfortunately I have to give up on my AlarmKit app. Too many issues that are being hard to debug and the feedback which I thought would help ease this up has been left on read, so I won't have an iOS launch app ready, for yet another year.

Throwback to the first iOS app I published, 2011. #iOSDev

Am I connected with anyone at Apple that can help me escalate a Feedback? 🙏 Will appreciate it, AlarmKit appears to be completely broken in the latest two betas.

I have been playing with @n8n.io, since Wednesday. It's a great tool for automating stuff and very friendly for non programmers, but it feels like a superpower in the hands of programmers.

The sudden inflow of followers here makes me think I should probably try to use this social network more often.

My blood pressure monitor will crush my arm as if it were a shark and then have the gal to complain I have high blood pressure.

One thing kind of embarrasing about me is that I barely use key bindings in any app. Beyond the basic ones like Cmd + F, Cmd + S, etc., I never use key bindings. On any app. Ever. So when users ask me to add some, I don't know where to start in terms of UX.

I’m hoping, praying, that I do not look the way Apple Intelligence sees me. Otherwise my self-esteem is gonna tank hard.

#iOSDev have you used SwiftData with CloudKit sync? Is it reliable?

Actually managed to snap this photo at the right moment. Thanks night mode!
